Japanese authenticity is given by the embrace of 3 simple realities: nothing is eternal, nothing is finished and nothing is perfect. Wabi and Sabi can inspire feelings of loneliness or desolation, but they can be viewed optimistically, representing the transcendence of the material world in a simple one, in which the basics are fascinating and beautiful, such as the coming of autumn.
The concept of accepting and contemplating the imperfection of Japanese art and culture is softened by the Danish obsession with comfort and finding joy in everyday moments. The Japandi style defines the house as a sanctuary where you feel comfortable and whose beauty is found in imperfections. The key elements are natural materials, minimal furniture, open spaces and a soft color.
